Husky
Dark Sea
Husky, featuring Husky Gawenda (Voice, Guitar), Gideon Preiss (Keys, Vocals), Evan Tweedie (Bass, Vocals), Luke Collins (Drums), burst onto the airwaves and blogosphere when they released their infectious first single History's Door in February this year. Community radio and Triple J were quick to pick up on the single with Zan Rowe making it her 'Catch Of The Day', Richard Kingsmill awarding it a perfect 5/5, and the band winning the Triple J unearthed Push Over Festival competition.
New single Dark Sea is another breathtaking slice of gorgeous dark indie, and will further heighten anticipation for the band's forthcoming debut album Forever So, due for release later this year. It was recorded in the band's own makeshift studio in a backyard bungalow, and this full bodied, modern folk masterpiece was mixed by Noah Georgeson (Joanna Newsom, Devendra Banhart, The Strokes) at the House of Blues Studios in LA. The album is brim with Husky's surging harmonies and labour of love musicianship.
